Airfloat equipment will be featured in an upcoming textbook published by Illinois-based American Technical Publishers. Entitled Rigging, Hoisting and Signaling Practices, the book is an introduction to safe rigging practices and lifting calculations, and will be included immediately into the national electrical union’s apprenticeship program. The covered topics include cranes, signaling, lift planning, material handling, load weight and balance, types of slings and sling hitches, rope, rigging hardware, lifting devices, and hoists.
