Forklift-free Free Factory Floors & Production Environment

Gain floor space, gain worker safety, and gain productivity by going fork-free. Forklifts need space to maneuver. Forklifts run into people, posts, and product and have to be maintained, repaired, and staffed (the driver, repair people, and supervisor). The personal injury liability totals from forklift injuries and deaths are staggering: it has been estimated that a hundred workers are killed and 20,000 injured in the U.S. each year in forklift accidents. Although workplace safety failures are the most costly expense of forklifting, there are big ongoing operation expenses as well. The forklift operation has to be coordinated with the line workstation to get material to the line in time. More inventory is required to be stocked to support stop-and-go forklift transport.

Airfloat Fork Free material handling equipment allows for a fork truck free environment thus eliminating fork truck-related accidents in operator work zones.

Fork Free CartFork-Free Carts

  • Carts can be easily moved by hand or in a train with a tugger.
  • Carts can be rolled over an Airfloat pneumatic lift table and raised to ergonomic positions.
  • Carts can be equipped with a mechanical turntable for 360-degree rotation.
  • The cart turntable comes with detents and can be locked in place during transport of the cart.
  • Choice of a flat turntable deck or equipped with roller conveyor.
  • Low height from floor the top of deck.
  • Removable operator handle.

Fork-Free Lift

Airfloat designed fork-free lift for cart interfacing. Allows operator to position the cart ergonomically for easy loading and off-loading. Airfloat will design and manufacture ergonomic positioning equipment to interface with your existing carts, or design and manufacture cart and ergonomic-lift combinations.

Fork Free Profile Lift Tilt and Rotate Unit

Fork Free Low Profile Lift TiltAirfloat has created the lowest-profile-lift-tilt-and-rotate unit (patent pending) for the fork-free environment.

This unit is able to position fork free carts ergonomically in the most complex environment. With 14" of vertical lift, full rotation ability, and 35 degrees of tilt, this unit is truly unique.

Fork Free Rotate UnitMany variations of this unit have been made for various customers, creating fork-free lifts, rotates, or tilts individually or in combinations.

Call Airfloat for your custom fork free need, our design engineers will help create the right solution for you. Select from a standard fork-free ergonomic material-handling solution that we have already designed.

Free Up Floor Space with Fork-Free Solutions

Factory floor space is expensive, so using it for direct production functions is more profitable than leaving it vacant for forklift maneuvering. Modern Airfloat material-handling systems can greatly reduce the staffing required for forklift operation, maintenance, and supervision. Lean manufacturing needs to reduce the total inventory needed for production. It takes more "pipeline" inventory for forklift delivery to workstations than is needed for Airfloat automated material handling.

Airfloat has the practical design and application experience to get your operation practically forklift-free. That means both practical, in the cost-effective sense, and practical in the near-total approaches to safe and efficient material handling solutions beyond forklifting. Whether it's an old facility with narrow aisles that dead-end, uneven floors, and badly-located production inventory storage, or a brand new plant still on the drawing board, Airfloat can show you the way to maximum material-handling efficiency.
