Airfloat, the company that pioneered air bearing technology, once again revolutionizes heavy load movement! The Decatur, Illinois-based company has redesigned its workhorse cast aluminum air skid, improving it in virtually every way.
Airfloat is pleased to announce the launch of its new online product catalog. Accessed via the official company website, the e-catalog provides customers with intuitive self-service access to Airfloat's family of air bearing skids, skid packages and accessories. In the coming weeks and months, the catalog will grow to include other Airfloat equipment, including air bearing platforms, powered tuggers, lift tables, and more.
Got an extremely heavy load to move? Airfloat offers a wide variety of standard and custom-designed air bearing platforms to move pallets or any large heavy load. Four air bearings support each platform in a nearly friction-free manner. Using plant air, a few pounds of force is all that is required to move a heavy load in any direction.
For loads over 10,000 lbs., Airfloat recommends adding a powered tugger like the one seen in this video. Our tuggers ( or "drive tractors") provide all the steering and moving forces needed while operated off the same air supply line as the air platform.
