Case required an efficient and safe solution to their die
handling needs. Airfloat
designed and manufactured a two position, 60,000 lbs capacity quick die
change system.
The changer
consists of an air bearing platform with an air bearing turntable situated
on top of the platform. The overall
system utilizes ten air bearings: six 36" air bearings on the platform
and four 43" on the turntable. The system
also incorporates a push/pull mechanism that is ball-screw driven.
The

safe, fast-moving operation;

due to two positions on the changer;
