Dolly Rack Handling Systems
APPLICATION:
An Airfloat customer required a system capable of indexing three dolly racks inline, with the center rack position being an operator station.
SOLUTION:
Airfloat designed and manufactured a rack handling system. Dolly movement is by air powered drive wheels mounted in heavy duty guide beams. The guide beams are combined with cross members and track sections to form three drop in place modules that are pre-plumbed for easy installation. The system has a total length of 324” and will index standard 4’ by 8’ wheeled dollies. The dolly flow through the system is reversible at the operator station.

Pick & Place Rack Handling Systems
APPLICATION:
An Airfloat customer needed a system designed to maintain a continuous flow of empty racks to one operator load station for ergonomic part loading.
SOLUTION:
Airfloat designed and manufactured an indexing shuttle conveyor, configured in a rectangular arrangement of nine rack spaces in two rows. The rack flow through the system is in a clockwise direction with movement provided by roller chain transfer rails. The operator load station is located at the center rack position on the side with lift truck access at the first positions on the incoming and outgoing lines.
