Airfloat Turntables are designed with air bearing technology or more conventional mechanical bearing and wheels. Large loads are easily rotated on air bearing turntables; 1 lb of force to rotate 1,000 lbs of load. The enclosed structure design provides an operating surface and full protection for the air bearings. Airfloat can design and build turntables to any size and load capacity. Special fixtures or load support hardware can also be provided. Operation can include anything from simple manual rotation to a completely automated system integrated with your manufacturing process.

Two-Position Turntable
The 3/4-inch top plate withstands fork truck abuse and enables this turntable to position 2,000 to 16,000-pound loads (8,000 pounds per side) at a workstation, to speed assembly operations. The foot valve control is separate from the turntable for safety and efficiency, activating a 180-degree rotation with each actuation. The turntable rim underside has a special labyrinth edge protect the air bearing, which uses 60 to 85 psi air at 45 to 75 scfm.

Two-Position Tilt Turntable

Four-Position Tilt Turntable

Round Low-Profile Turntable

Round Flush-Mount Turntable

Robotic Interface Turntable
This Airfloat design is an integrated component of a robotic destacker system that handles 48-inch by 86-inch blanks. The turntable base is mounted on four sets of wheels to match an existing track system. The turntable diameter is 15 feet; base diameter is 13 feet. There are three pallet loading stations, each having a 12,000-pound capacity with 18-inch load height. Airfloat works with you to solve material-handling challenges of any size.
